Teaching yoga is not simply a matter of knowing the postures. It is the art of holding space — of guiding another human being into a deeper relationship with their own body, breath, and awareness. Our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program, launching this June, is built on that understanding.
Why We Built This Program
Over the past decade, we have seen a proliferation of teacher trainings that prioritize quantity over depth — producing graduates who can sequence a flow class but have little grounding in the philosophy, anatomy, or inner dimension of yoga. We wanted to offer something different: a program rooted in the traditional understanding of yoga as a complete path of transformation, not merely a fitness modality.

Curriculum Overview
Asana & Alignment (60 hours)
We cover the classical Hatha yoga asanas in depth — not just how to do them, but why they work, what they prepare the body for, and how to teach them safely to students with varying bodies and limitations. Special attention is given to the spine, hips, and shoulders, which are the most common sites of yoga-related injury when practice is approached without proper understanding.
Pranayama & Meditation (30 hours)
Breath is the bridge between body and mind. Students learn the classical pranayamas — Nadi Shodhana, Kapalabhati, Bhramari, Ujjayi, and Bhastrika — along with their physiological effects and contraindications. The meditation curriculum covers mantra meditation, breath awareness, trataka, and yoga nidra.
Yoga Philosophy (30 hours)
We study the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali in depth, along with selected passages from the Bhagavad Gita and Hatha Yoga Pradipika. Students come away with a genuine understanding of the eight limbs of yoga and how they apply to modern life — not just as historical curiosities but as living practices.
Anatomy & Physiology (20 hours)
Taught by a certified physiotherapist with a yoga background, this module covers the musculoskeletal system, the nervous system, and the respiratory system as they relate to yoga practice. Students learn to read bodies, identify common misalignments, and offer safe modifications.
Teaching Methodology (30 hours)
The final pillar of the training is learning to actually teach. Students practice sequencing, cueing, hands-on adjustments, and holding space for a group. Peer teaching sessions are recorded and reviewed with faculty feedback. By graduation, each student will have taught a minimum of 10 complete classes.
